There are a bunch of conversion apps out there, and having one on my iPhone is much more convenient than I ever imagined. I really like the Convert app. The design is perfect; using a scrolling wheel you choose what sort of measurement you want to convert. Then you select the unit types you are converting to and from, and enter the number using the keypad.
Convert has thought of every possible measurement you could use: besides the usual weight, volume, and area, they’ve also got currency (updated every few seconds, so you see the most current exchange rate), energy, force, typography and many more.
There’s also a built in calculator and the ability to copy the results of a conversion calculation and paste that number, along with the unit of measure, elsewhere on your phone.
Amazingly, Convert is just 99 cents. I think it’s a must have for your iPhone. I can’t imagine a better, more elegant solution for all your conversion needs!
